About Us

Ricky, the founder of Attic to Crawl, grew up in Martinsville, Indiana and was no stranger to most people around. Often trying to have fun (while attempting to stay out of trouble), he got to focus a lot of his energy on whatever he liked doing at the time. Whether it was baseball, skateboarding, or being a pest to his older sisters, he put a lot of energy into anything he set his mind to. Growing older, this led him to different states and jobs over the years, following his intuition to find what would be next.

 

Maybe known for more mischievous qualities as a younger man, he now can be described as a hard worker and a go-getter by all that know him. With experience in roofing inspection and installation, an electrical apprenticeship, appliance installation, foundation evaluation and repair/maintenance, home inspection seemed like an obvious career choice to combine his talents. With the support of his family (and all-around great wife), Ricky sought out to become a certified Home Inspector, and completed his schooling at American Home Inspectors Training Institute (AHIT).

Working out of his hometown, Ricky lives with his wife, two children, and dogs. He enjoys vacuuming, golfing, and outdoor activities on his time off.

A personal message from the owner:

"I have a lot of experience in many aspects of a home. I have been trained in foundation, electrical, plumbing and roofing trades and have hands on experience over the past 15 years of my life.  Working in this field has taught me so much and was the main reason I decided to become a home inspector.  After going into countless homes and seeing the "handy man" work that has been done and having to break bad news to homeowner after homeowner.  I have decided to take the next step and try to prevent another new homeowner finding out they invested in a "money pit".  Buying a home should be an exciting experience and a good inspection can help avoid unplanned costs due to problems that aren't obvious to the untrained eye.  
There aren't many crawl spaces I can't fit in or attics I can't access, and I will do everything in my power to find those hidden defects.  Let me save you from the hassle of having to file a claim or make unexpected repairs.
